We do two things at once. You select the stone yourself, drawn from the wholesale trade rather than a retail case, and you are advised, at every turn, on the design that will hold it. The ring is yours from the first decision to the last.

• Get to know the ring. Acquaint yourself with the engagement-ring styles and the settings that hold a stone, so that the shape of the thing you want comes clearly into focus.
• Bring a budget. Once you know what you are looking for and have a figure in mind, the pieces fall into place — and the conversation becomes a precise one.

The appointment

When your idea has settled, you are ready to meet our specialist. Because every diamond is unique — and because two stones with near-identical grades can look entirely different to the eye — it is always worth comparing diamonds side by side before choosing one. Our specialist arranges a viewing for you, presenting a selection chosen to match your wishes.

Once the stone is chosen, the setting follows. With your budget, the criteria you would like us to prioritise in the selection, and the style of mount you favour, we shape an appointment that is less a transaction than the making of something kept for life.

A wedding band can be made at the same time, designed to sit beside the engagement ring or matched to a custom design — a picture or a detailed drawing is welcome. The two rings, made together, belong together.
